G.1) LEASE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT BOND ORDINANCE Discussion and consideration of approval of Ordinance 2016-05, an ordinance authorizing a Lease/Purchase Agreement in the maximum principal amount of $600,000 for Sheriff Vehicles, entitled, AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A LEASE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ELKO COUNTY, NEVADA, AS LESSEE, AND ZB, N.A. DBA ZIONS BANK, AS LESSOR IN ORDER TO FINANCE THE COST OF ACQUIRING, IMPROVING AND EQUIPPING SHERIFF VEHICLES, AS AUTHORIZED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION OF THE STATE OF NEVADA; PROVIDING FOR ITS ADOPTION AS IF AN EMERGENCY EXISTS; AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. The County Commission approved medium-term financing for Sheriff Department vehicles at a public hearing held on October 21, 2015. The Nevada Department of Taxation approval was given on January 7, 2016. This approval completes the process for said financing.
