We STRONGLY OPPOSE Orla Mining using Lucky Nugget Road through a residential neighborhood as the primary access to their operations. We live directly on Lucky Nugget Road in Lucky Nugget 1 subdivision. Every vehicle associated with this mine will pass in front of our home this will impact the enjoyment of our home everyday. The idea of close to 900 employees between the contractors and mine employees traveling it daily sounds more like a freeway, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. No more quiet enjoyment of our property. No more having the windows open to enjoy the fresh air and quiet. Not to mention our roads aren’t built to handle the semi’s and additional traffic, this subdivision already doesn’t meet county code as there is only one access in and out of the subdivision. What will the added traffic mean for our wildlife? It will completely change this community. There are other options for Orla to access their operations and they need to use them. This is a residential neighborhood not Jiggs Highway.
