N.1) Discussion and consideration of a request from the Elko County Mybrary to increase the hourly rate for all part-time positions from $12 per hour to $15 per hour. Because most part-time positions are scheduled for 19 hours or less per week and are not eligible for benefits, recruitment and retention of the part-time staff has been difficult. The last hourly rate increase was approved in July 2021. Mybrary has available funds in the current part-time wages budget. The budget committee reviewed the request on January 10, 2024 and recommends approval.
