Hello...I want to make sure my concern about the propsal from Rusty Bahr in regaurds to the $52 million Reacreation Project was heard. My husband and I have been involved with the NNYSA Soccer Board and involved with coaching basketball at the B&G club. We love to be involved with sports in the community and have a mission to impact all youth we contact in a positve way. We both decided to go a different direction with our efforts and will not be apart of either of these two entities because of various reasons. We believe in unity, honesty, trust, and transparency always...and especially when it comes to our youth!! We were threatened after stepping down that we would never be allowed to be apart of NNYSA and had several parents ask us why we were banned from the program. We never pushed the issue because we didnt ever see ourselves being apart of what they do. I support growth in the community as it is needed...but definitely have a big concern about this project being ran through the B&G Club, as I feel that there is a mission to control all youth sports on a level that will push anyone else in the community out that ever opposes them. This is an issue you would never really be aware of unless you have been impacted directly by them. They have a selfserving agenda in my opinion, and that is a huge concern! We love Elko and are native Nevadans...we hope our concerns are heard and speak from our hearts when we say we are truly in it for all youth not just our own!

Hello all. My concern is regarding having Boys and Girls Club in charge of the $52 million Recreation Project. After helping run AYSO 556 (soccer program) I've seen what NNYSA soccer club has done to AYSO 556. AYSO 556 has been in Elko for over 30 years and has put many many athletes thru this program. In 2018 AYSO 556 was ran by Megan Lackey and a few of the now NNYSA and current Spring Creek Association Board member being involved (including Rusty and Jesse Bahr). Now after talking to parents and other coaches in the area i'm very worried about them pushing other clubs out of Elko. I've talked to former NNYSA parent/coaches and they are afraid of what Rusty and Jesse have told they if they join another club. Now with Rusty running all the recreation sports what's going to happen to the leagues/teams that aren't with NNYSA? Obviously if NNYSA(Rusty) is already telling certain parents they are going to run other clubs out of town.....what does that hold for everyone else? These concerns are RED FLAGS. Why should they get a shot of running it all with a bad reputation of threating to run other clubs out?
