I.1) Discussion and consideration of authorization to submit a “Notice of Intent” (NOI) to apply for the Federal Fiscal Year 2018 (FFY2018) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) through the State of Nevada. Funding Event: FM-5154-NV HMGP – Post Fire. Funding for this grant is unspent Federal Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) monies held in reserve by the State. This grant application is for mitigation fire protection / defensible space measures i.e. green striping around Elko County Communities. There is a 25% grant match that would be required during the 36 month grant term. The grant award date is October 2019. The Commission will have the opportunity to decline the acceptance of the grant should conditions warrant. NOI deadline to the State is September 30, 2018.
