Q.1) Discussion and consideration to accept a grant award from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety's (OTS) Traffic Safety Enforcement Program in the amount of $17,500 to the Elko County's Sheriff's Office.    The funding will support the Sheriff's Office's participation in Joining Forces, a statewide program involving multi-jurisdictional traffic enforcement events conducted throughout the year to reduce speeding, distracted driving, and other unsafe driving behaviors.  The grant requires a $4,375 match, which will be satisfied through in-kind contributions consisting of department vehicle use and fuel.
