H.1) Discussion and consideration to approve the purchase and placement of a headstone for Shafter Jane in recognition of the conclusion of the Elko County Sheriff's Office cold case investigation and identification efforts.   The Sheriff's Office recently concluded a decades-long cold case investigation involving the unidentified female known as "Shafter Jane".  Through investigative efforts and advancements in forensic technology, the Sheriff's Office was able to bring resolution to the case, restoring the individual's identity.   The Sheriff's Office is requesting approval to purchase and place a headstone at the individual's gravesite to appropriately recognize her identity and memorialize the successful resolution of the case.
