G.2) Discussion and consideration to approve the purchase of a used 2009 HME Custom Pumper, declare the existing 2007 HME Type 1 Engine surplus and authorize its sale.The Fiscal Year 2026 Infrastructure Tax Plan includes refurbishment of the District's existing 2007 HME Type 1 Engine to extend its service life and maintain operational readiness.  During the evaluation process, staff identified a used 2009 HME Custom Pumper that is in better overall condition, has lower mileage, and requires significantly less refurbishment than the existing apparatus.  The purchase price of the replacement engine is $239,000, compared to the estimated refurbishement costs of approximately $379,479 for the current apparatus.    Staff believes acquisition of the 2009 HME Custom Pumper represents the most cost-effective option and will provide improved reliability and operational readiness while reducing project costs by approximately $140,000.Funding is available through previously budgeted Infrastructure Tax Funds and Special Revenue Funds.   If approved, the existing 2007 HME Type 1 Engine will be declared surplus and sold through Fire Trucks Unlimited.
