G.1) Discussion and consideration to award the Spring Creek Station #28 Remodel Project PWP EL-2026-357, to KAP Mechanical as the most responsive and responsible bidder.   Elko County solicited proposals for the project, which includes remodeling improvements to the existing fire station facility and associated work as identified in the solicitation documents.   The following bids were received: Legion Construction Base bid - $377,000 Alternate 1 (Electrical) - $15,000 Alternate 2 (Plumbing) - $18,000 Alternate 3 (Kitchen Finish) - not provided Total bid amount - $419,000 (provided separate bid amount for HVAC in the amount of $9,000) KAP Mechanical Base bid - $278,000 Alternate 1 (Electrical) - $65,000 Alternate 2 (Plumbing) - $38,000 Alternate 3 (Kitchen Finish) - $35,000 Total bid amount - $426,000   Following review and evaluation of the proposals, staff recommends award to KAP Mechanical as the most responsive and responsible bidder.  While Legion Construction submitted the lower-priced proposal, staff determined that KAP Mechanical's proposal best satisfies the requirements of the solicitation and provides the greatest overall value to the County.Funding for the project is available within the approved budget.
