P.4) Discussion and consideration to approve the application for the United Way of Northern Nevada Special Assistance Fund for Emergencies (SAFE) Program, a utility assistance program available to Northern Nevada residents experiencing financial hardship. Elko County Human Services has received funding through the program for several years.
Funding is allocated among participating entities based on program processes and eligibility determinations, with a total of $325,000 available for the 2027 fiscal year.
