M.1) Discussion and consideration of a scoping comment for the Wild Horse and Burro Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Gathers, Removals, and Population Growth Suppression Methods.
The proposed alternative provides that the BLM would gather and remove horses to low AML (Appropriate Management Level) and apply population growth suppression in the form of fertility control vaccinations, gelding, and sex ratio adjustments.
Scoping comments provide an opportunity for stakeholders to propose areas of study the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis should cover.
