L.2) Discussion and consideration for Elko County Ambulance to apply for the Fiscal Year 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program in an amount not to exceed $400,000.
Administered through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Resilience/Grant Programs Directorate (GPD), the AFG program aims to deliver essential resources to equip and train emergency personnel to meet recognized standards.
Elko County Ambulance will utilize funding to purchase an ambulance as well as two mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices (mCPR). A 10% ($40,000) cash match is required, which will be provided by Ambulance's portion of Infrastructure Tax funding.
