H.2) Discussion and consideration of approval to purchase a Motorola Computer Aided Dispatch server and authorize use of the Enhanced 911 fund for the project.
Elko County has been a Motorola Spillman Computer Aided Dispatch system user for several years. The server for this system has been the State of Nevada Department of Public Safety server since our transition. Migrating to our own server allows significant advantages to local control, future applications, and access to GIS and managed services.
The Enhanced 911 Board recommends proceeding with a year one cost of up to $500,000, and ongoing costs in years 2-4 of up to $100,000.
