F.1) Discussion and consideration of approval to submit an application for the Nevada Department of Public Safety's Office of Traffic Safety grant program in the amount of $22,000.   Funds are awarded for use in reducing deaths and serious injuries caused by motor vehicle crashes through the implementation of programs that address driver behavior and/or improve roadway safety or data collection.   Elko County Sheriff's Department will utilize funding to participate in Joining Forces statewide, multi-jurisdictional traffic enforcement events that focus on the same areas of concern that this program identifies. A 25% ($5,500) match is required, which will be provided by in-kind contributions in the form of vehicle usage and fuel by the department.
