L.1) Discussion and consideration of approval for the Elko County Ambulance Service to apply for grant funding through the Nevada Rural Health Transformation Program in an amount to be determined, with no local match required.   The Ambulance Service proposes to utilize RHTP funding to develop a Community Resource Paramedic Program, would would include Community Paramedics providing targeted health services to residents with the goal of reducing strain on Elko County's healthcare system and improving access to care.The RHTP provides up to five years of funding, with applications required annually.  This agenda item authorizes application for Year One funding, which would support initial implementation, including the purchase of equipment and funding for additional staffing.  The total funding request is still being finalized as part of the program budget development.  Applications are due April 30, 2026.Elko County's application would be submitted through Great Basin College, which is coordinating RHTP efforts among healthcare partners within the region.If funding is awarded, acceptance of the award and any associated agreements will be brought back to the Board of County Commissioners for approval.
