Just another way for rich people to trample on the local people who live and use the area.
There is also the environmental aspect which would most likely affect the water Flow from snow melt (erosion issues).
What about the loss of wildlife habitat? It might be minimal, might not.
Who really benefits? Certainly only a handful of people with deep pockets.
Then there is the increased traffic along with possibility of widening roads, which could lead to more erosion issues.
There is also the trash issues which come with people loving a natural beauty to death. How is that going to be managed? Look at most parking areas , people in general are messy, some have not been taught to be responsible.
Don’t ruin a pristine outdoor area for a monetary benefit for a few rich people and take away the natural beauty which all can enjoy.
Definitely don’t need a ski resort.

We do not need to rip up the Rubies for some rich people from out of town. The Rubies are the crown jewel of Elko county with so many people enjoying outdoor recreation. This proposal was rejected once already. We have the snow bowl north of Elko that doesn’t open many years due to lack of snow. Snow pack is unreliable at best so how can you reason 5 lifts. Sorry-don’t want the Rubies loved to death like so many other areas.

Soil disturbance equals noxious weeds and erosion!!! Protect the Ruby Mountains. Keep the Ruby Mountains open space. Do not allow development and road building.
