Q.1) Discussion and consideration to direct staff regarding participation in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Species Status Assessment process for the Pinyon Jay, including submission of information and data relevant to Elko County.   The Service is evaluating whether the species may warrant listing as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act following a 90-day finding issued in August 2023 indicating that listing may be warranted.  A final listing determination is anticipated in Fiscal Year 2028.
