D.1) Discussion and recognition of the life and service of George Boucher, with a moment of silence. The Elko County Board of Commissioners will recognize and honor the life and legacy of George Boucher, a dedicated public servant and longtime member of the Elko community, and observe a moment of silence in his memory.   George Boucher began his career with Elko County in 1971 as the Road Supervisor before stepping into the role of County Manager in 1974.  He served in that role for 27 years, retiring in 2001 after a distinguished career.  Throughout his tenure, George served the community with professionalism, deep institutional knowledge, and an unwaivering commitment to public service.   In recognition of his many years of service, Elko County dedicated both a County building and a roadway in his honor, located near the courthouse in downtown Elko.  George was also an avid Elko County historian who took great pride in sharing stories and preserving the history of the territory and the people he was privileged to know during his career.     The Board extends its sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his service and contributions.
