K.2) Discussion and consideration to appoint Kathy Jones to fill the vacant position of the Elko County Public Administrator.    The Public Administrator is appointed officer responsible for administering the estates of deceased persons when no qualified person is available or willing to do so.  Duties may include securing and inventorying personal property, paying lawful debts, and distributing remaining assets in accordance with court orders.Staff recommends the appointment of Kathy Jones to the position of Public Administrator to ensure continuity of service and compliance with statutory responsibilities.
