J.1) Discussion and consideration to accept a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant award from the State of Nevada Department of Human Services (DHHS), Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) for the Great Basin Children's Advocacy Center (GBCAC) in the amount of $125,500 for Fiscal Year 2026.   This award will support personnel at the GBCAC as it serves as a hub for trauma-informed, end-to-end support for children and families who have experienced sexual, emotional and/or violent physical abuse throughout their pursuit of healing and justice, from investigation to prosecution and beyond.   There is a $31,375 match for this grant that is provided by in service-area contributions from Eureka, White Pine, and Elko County, as well as a portion of the salary already paid to the Elko County Sheriff's Office detective, who is stationed at the GBCAC facility.
