Q.1) Discussion and consideration to approve an amendment to the Interlocal Contract between Elko County and the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Healthcare Financing and Policy. With the establishment of the Nevada Health Authority per Senate Bill 494 of the 83rd Legislative Session, the Ground Emergency Medical Transportation contract has been amended to reflect this public entity change.   The contract is necessary for Elko County Ambulance Service to participate in and receive funds from the Medicaid Certified Public Expenditures Program (CPE) for Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT). The CPE-GEMT program allows for reimbursement when Medicaid funds received for each transport fall short of the actual cost per transport for any public agency.
