G.1) Discussion and consideration of Resolution 2025-29, a Resolution Supporting Great Basin LLC.'s Northern Portion of the Southwest Interie Project.Great Basin Transmission, LLC is proposing to construct and operate the northern portion of the Southwest Interie Project (SWIP-North), a high-voltage transmission line intended to increase transmission capacity and access for the development of renewable energy resources across the western United States.  The project is expected to improve grid reliability, support regional economic development, and align with state and federal energy policies.The Elko County Board of Commissioners has previously expressed support for this critical infrastructure through:   Resolution No. 23-2008, supporting the southern portion of the Southwest Interie Project, now known as the One Nevada Transmission Line (ON Line); Resolution No. 08-2009, and  Resolution No. 2021-39, supporting the construction and operation of the SWIP-North portion.   Due to current economic and infrastructure needs, it is timely and appropriate to reaffirm the County's support for SWIP-North through formal action on Resolution 2025-29.
