R.1) Discussion and consideration to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 2025-03 amending Elko County Code Title 6, Chapter 14, to expand the eligible uses of Infrastructure Tax funds.   Elko County Code Title 6, Chapter 14 governs the imposition and use of the Infrastructure Sales and Use Tax pursuant to NRS 377B.  Under the current ordinance, Infrastructure Tax funds may be used to support projects and capital expenditures for the Elko County Road Department and the Elko County Fire Protection District.   Ordinance No. 2025-03 proposes to expand the categories of eligible expenditures to allow for greater flexibility in meeting county public safety capital and infrastructure needs.  The amendment is intended to ensure broader support for critical public safety investments (Sheriff's Office vehicles and equipment, ambulances, etc.).
