3.C) Discussion and consideration of a request to restructure the Finance Department to allow for the reclassification of the vacant Grants/Contracts Coordinator position to a Deputy Comptroller position to provide succession for the current Comptroller who plans to retire on or before August 2027.    The Deputy Comptroller would act in the capacity of Comptroller in the Comptroller's absence, like other department deputies or assistant department heads.  In addition, it is the Comptrollers intention to prepare the successful Deputy Comptroller candidate for transition to the Comptroller position upon her retirement.
