4.A) Discussion and consideration to increase the hourly rate of the Jackpot Recreation Center Lead Lifeguard position from $13 per hour to $15 per hour.  The Lead Lifeguard position is a part-time position that is not eligible for retirement or health plan benefits.    As of January 2024, Jackpot Recreation Center restructured the hours of operation based on utilization of the facility, including reducing all staff to part-time employees.  The total increase for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2024 is approximately $1,159.73.   Due to restructuring, there will be a significant salary and benefit savings as well as potential services and supplies savings which will more than cover the increase in wages for the Lead Lifeguard position.
