J.1) Discussion and consideration to approve an amendment to the Interlocal Contract between Elko County and the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Healthcare Financing and Policy. The contract provides ongoing reimbursement for emergency transportation for Medicaid recipients.  The amendment increases the maximum reimbursement amount from $1,276,275.00 to $1,496,069.66 due to higher-than-expected cost settlements.   The contract is necessary for Elko County Ambulance Service to participate in and receive funds from the Medicaid Certified Public Expenditures Program (CPE) for Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT). The CPE-GEMT program allows for reimbursement when Medicaid funds received for each transport fall short of the actual cost per transport for any public agency.
