G.1) Discussion and consideration to re-appoint Kathy Jones to the position of Public Guardian. Pursuant to NRS 253.150 and Elko County Code Title 1, Chapter 12, the Public Guardian is required to be appointed every four (4) years. Ms. Jones has been appointed as the Elko County Public Guardian since 2003. The Public Guardian is a last resort for individuals who are incapacitated and unable to manage their own finances and/or make informed decisions regarding their own healthcare. She manages up to 25 protected persons at any one time and often has a wait list. Staff recommends re-appointment of Ms. Jones. - Elko County, NV
