Nevada Outdoor School is in full support of this trail project with the ultimate vision to see a non motorized trail from Carlin to Lamoille. As a 20 year old 501 (c)(3) with a long history of federal and state grant management, including Recreational Trails Program grants, we serve as the fiscal partner to the ETSI, providing the manpower to manage and report on grant funds. And as an outdoor education and recreation provider, we would utilize the trail for community walks and summer camp excursions. This trail is easily accessed and will provide Elko County residents and others of all ages the space to get outside and recreate responsibly, leading active and healthy lifestyles.

Danny and Vikki Riddle of Ruby Valley support multi user recreational trails in Elko County.
We cannot attend the commission meeting today because we are snowed in.
We support this trail system because it will enhance quality of life experiences for Elko residents, and it includes equestrian opportunities.
This is a popular trail system, finding volunteers for in kind work contribution has Not been a problem. As members of Back Country Horsemen we have already contributed several hours on the LSTS.

2.5 years ago, during Public Comment, I asked the nebulous question, how do we get a bike path over that SW Gas disturbance. You directed me to Curtis Moore, Natural Resources Director. Since then, we've pinball through bureaucracy and local interests to identify this next step: a feasibility study that will position us to take advantage of grant opportunities and capitalize on synergistic infrastructure project opportunities - such as that missed when SW gas reclaimed the disturbance path.
