I 100% Oppose the Governor's Mask Mandate. It is doing great harm to our community, to our children, small businesses and every day citizens. We have proven the masks do not work. Humans contract diseases, it's just the nature of being human. Covid is the flu, plain and simple. It will mutate, grow, change, just as the common Flu Virus does. We cannot put our whole lives and country on hold because of this. It is time to stand up and fight, no more mandates. We should return to normal, when we are sick try and stay home and always keep away from those who are at high risk, and we should be washing our hands with soap and water. Just like any other time. Nothing more. The mandates will, and have already, put companies out of business. They will continue to close our schools and harm our community. No more mandates! Period. We are Americans, we have the right to decide for ourselves our own healthcare precautions. No Government should have any say in what we do personally to protect ourselves. Science does not prove masks work, and it does not prove this virus is as deadly as they've portrayed. Please, stand up and fight for Elko County!

I greatly oppose the new mask mandate! I took my son out of school because of last year’s mandate. We were excited to enroll him for this upcoming school year when the vaccine came out and mandates lifted. And now we are being told he will have to wear one again. My son NEEDS to be in a classroom, he needs to socialize with friends at recess, he needs to be a child! Because of his adhd and anxiety he cannot wear masks. So what do you suggest I do for him? When will our officials start standing up for their people and our freedoms? When will we be given the options to choose for ourselves and our families? Give us the choice to make our own educated decisions for our own families! My body, my child, my choice. Period.
