    A good many dog bites are preventable and not necessarily the dogs fault. A teased, threatened, overexcited, protective, and working dog will bite. A good many dog bites are the fault of the person getting bit and punishment of this nature is both unneccessary and unfair to the dog. I recommend that the council oppose this amendment to the ordinance.

    No! I am opposed.

    Dogs give warnings. Dogs bite to protect themselves or their family. Dogs can't read your laws. Some people provoke animals. Most times the human is at fault. This is government over reach. Politics could play into this. Rules for thee but not for me.
